Request a Smoke Alarm Test

Since July 1st, 2016, installing working smoke alarms or detectors in all rental homes has become mandatory. At Ray White, we prioritise your safety and want to make sure your smoke alarms are in proper working order. 2. Multiple Levels: For multi-story or multi-level homes, smoke alarms must be installed on each level or story.
  3. Applicable Properties: Smoke alarms must be present in all rental homes, boarding houses, rental caravans, and self-contained sleeping units, adhering to the following specifications:
    • Photoelectric: Smoke alarms must be of the photoelectric type.
    • Battery Life: Smoke alarms should have a battery life of at least 8 years or be hard-wired.
    • Proper Installation: Smoke alarms must be installed according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
